Add and configure Jira Issue Type fields

  1. Make field not-required
  2. Setup default value for message Jira fields
  • Click on ‘Project Settings’, select Project and Issue Type to manage Jira Issue Type fields. This action will permit users to generate Jira Issues within the Projects you add during this process.

  • Select the Jira Project fields you wish to enable and display for Salesforce users when they view or create Jira Issues within Salesforce.

  • Ensure that you have chosen all required fields, and then pick any extra fields you want to make available in Salesforce for creating Jira Issues. Click on ‘Save’.

  • Make field not-required

Navigate to the ‘Peeklogic Fields’ object, where you’ll find a list of fields sourced from Jira.

Select the field you want to set as non-mandatory and remove the checkmark from the ‘Required‘ checkbox.

  • Setup default value for message Jira fields

Navigate to the ‘Peeklogic Fields’ object, where you’ll find a list of fields sourced from Jira.

Select the Jira Field message type and set the default value you would like to use.

To change the default value for the message type field, add the ‘Edit default value for message type field‘ component. Go to the ‘Edit Page’ option, which will open the Lightning App Builder.

Find the ‘Peeklogic Message Field Default Value‘ component and drag it onto the Page Layout.

Then you will see this component and you will be able to modify the value.

During the creation of a new Jira Issue, all messages will be accessible and visible.
