Add Salesforce Objects
Navigate to the Object Manager in Salesforce and specifically select the Salesforce Object that requires synchronization from Jira. Afterward, proceed to configure both the Page Layouts and the Compact Layout.
Ensure that the Compact Layout designated as Primary in Salesforce is appropriately configured.
Next, find the Peeklogic Salesforce and Jira Connector app within Jira. Locate the Salesforce Settings section.
To add a new Salesforce Object for synchronization, click on the ‘Add Salesforce Object’ button.
From there, select the specific Object you wish to add.
To configure Page Layout and Compact Layout settings, follow these steps:
- Click on ‘Action’ and choose ‘View Details‘.
- Select the Page Layout that requires editing.
- Utilize the drag-and-drop functionality to manage and arrange fields according to your preferences.
To manage fields you can drag and drop them.
Sorting for Salesforce Properties component in Jira
In Compact Layout, you can find additional configurations:
- Default Sort Key: select field for default sorting the Salesforce records in the Salesforce Properties component;
- Default Sort Order: ASC or DESC values for field chosen in Default Sort Key;
- Select sortable fields: add the additional fields for manually sorting the Salesforce records in the Salesforce Properties component.
Important Note: In case you added a Salesforce Object prior to making changes in Salesforce, it is advisable to refresh it to ensure that the latest modifications are reflected.
Unlink Salesforce Records

Configure visibility for ‘Create Salesforce Record’ and ‘Link Salesforce Record’ for Projects and Jira Issues.
Important Note: The buttons: ‘Link Salesforce Record‘, ‘Create Salesforce Record’ are visible on all projects as long as you have not created any settings. As soon as you create one – the buttons will be visible only on the specified projects.
