Configure mapping for manual creation of Jira Service Request

Prerequisites:

  • Jira Forms Named Credentials and CloudId should be added in Jira Admin Settings under the Custom Settings in Setup.
  • Content Image
  • Global User Mapping should be configured.

Navigate to ‘Project Settings’ Jira Service Management Portals and choose the desired Portals.

Choose the desired  Request type

Click on ‘Manual Create’ to initiate the creation of a new Automation.

Enter Process Name and select the Salesforce object for which you wish to configure mapping with Jira Issue. Click Save.

In the RaiseOnBehalfOf field mapping, please select Created By ID or select another field that you would like to map it to.

Note: Make sure that Global User Mapping is properly configured to map Salesforce users to Jira accounts, as this is required for the mapping to work correctly.

Click on ‘+Add’ to include more fields for mapping.

Choose a Jira Field and select the type of mapping:

  • Field Reference: Select the corresponding Salesforce Field with a similar type.
  • Default Value: Define the default value for the Jira field.

In the Form Fields Mapping section, you can map the form fields by simply clicking “+ Add” and configuring the required mappings.

Click the “Save All Changes” button to save all updates.
