Report

The Reports tab helps you view and manage the connections between your Salesforce data and Azure DevOps work items. This feature is designed to make it easy for you to see which Salesforce records are linked to Azure DevOps, and to configure these connections as needed.

What Can You Do in the Reports Tab?

  • See Existing Connections:

View all the fields that are currently set up to link Salesforce records to Azure DevOps work items.

  • Configure New Connections:

(If enabled) Set up new links between Salesforce objects and Azure DevOps work items, so your data stays in sync.

  • Choose Which Objects to Link:

Select from a list of available Salesforce objects (like Accounts, Opportunities, or custom objects) that you want to connect with Azure DevOps.

  • Automatic Linking of Existing Records:

When you add a new connection (for example, you start linking Cases to Azure DevOps), all existing records that were previously connected to Azure DevOps will be automatically updated. This means that if you had Azure DevOps items linked to Cases before, but Cases were not included in the Reports tab, once you add Cases, those existing links will appear and be managed automatically.

How to Use the Reports Tab

  1. Open the Reports Tab:

Navigate to the Reports tab in your Salesforce Peeklogic Azure Devops app.

  1. Select an Object:

Use the dropdown menu to pick the Salesforce object you want to work with. The list shows all objects that can be linked to Azure DevOps. (For example, Account)

  1. Create a New Connection:

You can create a new link by clicking the “Create Lookup” button.

The page will display helpful messages regarding your action status, including confirmations of success and any errors that may occur.

  1. View Lookup Fields:

After selecting an object, you’ll see a list of fields that are already set up to connect to Azure DevOps.

Tips

  • If you don’t see the object you’re looking for, it might not be available for linking, or you may not have access.

Now, you could just configure Salesforce using standard Salesforce reporting capabilities.
