Configuring Different Mappings Based on Record Types
To set up different field mappings depending on Record Types, follow these steps:
Access Peeklogic Setup
- Navigate to Peeklogic Setup in Salesforce.
- Open the Project Settings section.
Select Jira Project and Issue Type
- Locate the Jira Project and Issue Type that you want to configure field mapping for.
Create a New Mapping
- Go to the Manual Creation tab.
- Click on ‘New Automation’ to set up a new field mapping configuration.
- Select the appropriate Salesforce Object.
- Choose the specific Record Type for which this mapping should apply.
Define Field Mappings for the First Record Type
- Map the corresponding Jira fields and Salesforce fields based on your requirements for Record Type.
Save the Configuration
- Once you have completed the field mapping, click Save to store the changes.
Repeat for Other Record Types
- If additional Record Types require different mappings, repeat the steps above:
- Create a new mapping for each Record Type.
Define field relationships based on the specific requirements of each Record Type.
