Manage Comment Component

  • Hide Comment Tab

To remove the Comment Tab, simply check one checkbox:

  • Open the Edit Page;
  • Select Hide Comments Tab;
  • Save the changes.

From now on, the Comment Tab will no longer be displayed among the other tabs.

  • Display only Public Jira Comments

If you wish to display only public Jira comments, you need to open any Salesforce record where the ‘Peeklogic JiraContent’ component is used. Open the Lightning App Builder via the Edit Page option and select the ‘Peeklogic JiraContent’ component. Then, check the ‘Display only Public Jira Comments’ checkbox and save the modifications.

  • Save in Case Comments only Public Jira comments

In order to save only Public Jira comments in Case Comments, open any Case record. Open the Lightning App Builder via the Edit Page option and select the ‘Peeklogic JiraCaseComments’ component. Select the ‘Save in Case Comments only Public Jira comments’ and save changes.

  • Allow only internal comments for Service Desk Project

Open any Salesforce record where the ‘Peeklogic JiraContent’ component is used. Open the Lightning App Builder via the Edit Page option and select the ‘Peeklogic JiraContent’ component. Then, check the ‘Allow only internal comments for Service Desk Projects’ checkbox and save the modifications.

  • Ability to select internal or public comments (Service Desk projects) in Salesforce

App provides the ability to choose internal or public comments for Service Desk projects. Just select ‘Internal note’ or ‘Reply customer’ to save a new comment as internal or public accordingly.

To create a comment, first things first click ‘View’ on the relevant Jira Issue directly within Salesforce.

Under the ‘Comment’ tab, click on the ‘Comment’ button.

Enter the required comment and save that.

The just created comment appears in:

  • Salesforce, a little lower;

  • Jira, in appropriate Jira Issue.

Tag Jira user directly in Salesforce:

  • Just open Jira Issue to which you would like to add a comment;

  • In Comment section you can leave comments by mentioning Jira User via ‘@’ sign;

  • And after that you will see this comment in Jira.

Tag Salesforce user directly in Jira:

  • In order for notifications to work in SF when a user’s SF is mentioned in Jira – you need to enable the checkbox:
    •  Mention Users (Notification) All – notify any Salesforce user, even Jira Issue is not associated with Salesforce record;
    •  Mention Users (Notification) Only Linked – notify Salesforce user if current Jira Issue is associated with Salesforce records.

  • Then create an emoji with that picture.

In SF, you need to save which user this emoji will correspond to ( Custom Metadata Types > User Mention Settings > Manage User Mention Settings  );

Need to fill Label & UserId. Label – must be the same as entered in Jira. Only underscores can be used.

Create any Jira comment and tag a Salesforce user directly in Jira.
