Setup automatic update Jira Schema in Salesforce

Scheduled Jobs are specifically designed to synchronize chosen fields with Salesforce. Whenever there is an update in the field type, its content, or picklists, the system will automatically synchronize all associated picklists at the scheduled time and date.

 

To automate the process of updating the Jira Schema, follow these steps:

 

  • Access the ‘Schedule Sync’ section within the Peeklogic Setup.

 

  • In the interface that appears, you’ll find a list of fields. Move the selected fields to the right column, indicating your preference for these fields to be included in the automatic update process.

By completing these steps, the chosen fields will be scheduled for automatic synchronization, ensuring that any changes made to these fields, such as modifications in field type, content, or picklists, will be automatically updated as per the specified schedule.

 

To configure the scheduled synchronization, follow these steps:

 

  • After selecting the fields to be synchronized for the Jira Schema update, proceed to set the preferences for the synchronization schedule.

 

  • Choose the weekdays and specific times when you prefer the synchronization to occur. 

 

  • Once you’ve selected the preferred weekdays, and times click on ‘Save Scheduled Job’. This action both saves your configuration settings and initiates the scheduled synchronization.

 

  • To immediately trigger a synchronization of these fields outside of the scheduled time frame, click on ‘Run Now’. This will force an immediate synchronization for the selected fields.

By following these steps, you can not only set the recurring schedule for automatic synchronization based on your preferences but also manually initiate an immediate synchronization whenever required.
